About

I currently reside in Perth, Australia, although I am originally from Melbourne, Australia.  I have lived all over the place in the last 9 years, both overseas & within Australia, but I’m staying put for a while as I am studying full-time right now.  I have always been obsessed with food – according to my mum, as a kid I would ask “what’s for dinner Mum?” as soon as I had finished eating lunch – always thinking about the next meal!

Whilst I eat a lot and love to cook, I am also very careful about the types of foods I put into my body – the older I get the more important staying healthy is to me.  I generally avoid saturated fats, and you will never catch me deep-frying anything!  I believe healthy foods taste better than oily, greasy junk food anyway.

Apart from food, my other hobbies are crafts (mainly bobbin lacemaking and all types of embroidery), reading, history and archaeology.  So whilst this blog is mainly food-related, you will find a smattering of my other interests popping in to say hi now and then!

Enjoy being inspired by the joys of food.

Chelle

Keep smiling while your eating & wash your hands before making your beautiful lace.

Hey, I’m putting links on my blog to blogs that I like/read/follow and yours is one of those 🙂 Let me know if you don’t want me to have the link, but hopefully it will increase traffic to both our blogs which is always good.

Fantastic blog. Found many recipes that appeal to me. We must have the same taste. And then I found your poachets blog. Bought these back with me from England in March and have nearly run out. Thanks for letting me know Big W and Woolies have them. Debbie

Thanks for the praise! My taste in food is just that I really love nearly all of it lol. The Poachies/Poachets are great, I’ve been using them regularly since writing about them, and find them really easy and convenient. I saw them in an independent kitchenwares shop this week too (Kitchen Witch in Subiaco – not sure what state you are in!), so they are slowly becoming more available.
